YakAttack BlackPak Pro Crate
The ultimate tackle storage crate for your fishing kayak. The BlackPak Pro needs little introduction as the go-to storage crate for many kayaks anglers looking for the best way to keep their tackle boxes organised on their kayak. The rigid yet lightweight plastic design results in a tough crate that will stand up to the rigours of marine and freshwater kayak fishing. The BlackPak pro is available in 3 sizes to suit a huge range of fishing kayaks - 13 x 13in with 3 rod holder, 13 x 16in with 4 rod holders and 16 x 16in with 6 rod holders. These crates are optimised to fit the popular Plano 3600 and 3700 waterproof tackle boxes (sold seperately).
The hinged lid helps shed water and keeps your gear secure inside. Secure the lid using the CatchLatch retention system. A handy 'sticky setting' keeps the lid open so that you can access the contents single handedly if required. An overtravel stopper prevents the lid from flipping over out of reach too, and built in rubber bumers provide sound dampening as the lid closes. The GridLoc walls of the crate feature a grid of pre-drilled holes ready to fit extra accessories.
The BlackPak Pro crates are supplied with Tether Tube rod holders, featuring a built-in rod leash system with clip hook that can either be clipped to a rod blank, or wrapped around the rod or reel and clipped back to attachment points on the crate. The rod holders can be attached to your preferred location on the GridLoc walls - mount flush with the base of the crate to suit most rods, or mount high for rods with longer butts. You can even mount them lower than the base of the crate to elevate the BlackPak Pro off the deck of the kayak to keep the box drier!
Designed to fit the tank well of most fishing kayaks and be secured down using the Omni corner brackets on the crate. These are attachment points for YakAttack OmniHooks (four of which are included), but you can also use generic hooks, karabiners, or simply hook over the bungee in your tank well. The BlackPak Pro is supplied flat packed, but assembly is super easy using the tongue and groove edge panels. Simply press them together and install the included stainless screws using a screwdriver.
The BlackPak Pro has a numer of accessories available to expand the crate into a modular tackle and gear storage system. Add extra compartments with the ShortStak Upgrade Kit or add quick access outer compartments with the GridLoc PicPocket.
