The Riot Brittany 16.5 is 'British-Style' sea kayak boasting plenty of features at a fantastic price. A sleek profile with a sharp bow and stern, along with moderate rocker, means the Brittany is at home on flat waters or in the choppy seas and ocean swells often found around the UK coastline. Reassuring stability is provided by the moderate hull width around the cockpit, providing confidence to intermediate paddlers progressing their sea kayaking skills. The hull profile also provides reliable secondary stability so experts will be able to edge and control the hull when fine precision paddling is required.
The deck comes with 3 storage hatches - large hatches at the bow and stern provide ample room to load up for a multi-day trip, with additional on-deck storage provided by the bungee deckline system. There is also a smaller day hatch behind the cockpit which is ideal for carrying kit such as a cagoule ready to put on in time for approaching squalls. A drop-down skeg features for improved straight line paddling and a Pilot Rudder system provides increased turning performance when required.
Comfortable outfitting ensure your time sat in the cockpit is more enjoyable. Other features include safety straps and a hemispherical recess on the bow for a compass.
