P&H Leo Corelite X Sea Kayak
Hitting a sweet spot between a full-on expedition sea kayak, and a forgiving day tourer, the Leo brings excellent performance with enough stability to provide confidence to the paddler, but not hinder the handling and capability of this kayak in open sea conditions. An excellent choice for those wanting a versatile and comfortable kayak for general coastal day trips and weekend adventures out on the sea. Constructed using Corelite X, an advanced triple-layer polyethylene for enhanced performance, durability and hull stiffness.
The 16ft hull features a sleek bow with moderate rocker that will happily cope with typical choppy waves, and hold it's nose up when on a wave face. A re-assuring amount of primary stability with progressive secondary stability will suit the aspiring paddler who is looking for that touch of comfort when out in dynamic and changing conditions. The hull can be finely edged for precise control, and released without hesitation when needed. A versatile craft for all sorts of sea paddling... Head out on open water for a longer distance paddle, go explore the covers and rocky outcrops along the coast, or go play in the surf. Finely control tracking with the drop-down skeg, easily set using the skeg slider positioned on the deck and out the way of your paddle arc.
Equipped with all the features you can expect from a modern sea kayak, so that you can enjoy your time on the water and get the most from the kayak. A 4 hatch set up provides enough storage space inside the hull for your day-trip essentials or a weekend camping trip. The stern, day hatch and bow hatch spacess feature foam bulkheads for sealed storage spaces and built-in buoyancy. A small day pod hatch is positioned just forwards of the cockpit for those small bits you need quick access too whilst on the water. All hatches use the durable rubber KajakSport hatch covers. A recess to accomodate a Silva 70p compass is located on the bow, along with secure bungee storage for a spare split paddle. Further decklines and bungees complete the bow and stern decks, and recessed fittings are included for attachment of a sail mast foot for those who fancy adding the P&H Sail System.
Available in 2 size options (MV and HV) to accomodate a wide range of paddlers. The spacious cockpit gives enough room to have a stretch when needed, and the outfitting offers plenty of adjustability allowing you to get excellent connectivity with the the hull for the best performance on the water. A great choice whether you're looking to head out with friends for a day paddle on the coast, or put in the miles on a longer multi-day adventure. The Leo will keep you comfortable in a variety of conditons and makes a great choice as a 'do-it-all' sea kayak.

Introducing CoreLite X, the very latest in advanced roto-moulded kayak construction, from P&H Sea Kayaks. Combining exclusively developed and sourced materials, with industry leading precision machinery, and over 25 years of expertise, P&H have produced CoreLite X. An advanced triple layer (sandwich layer) construction that delivers an exceptional hull stiffness-to-weight ratio.
Compared to the previous CoreLite construction, CoreLite X (CLX) is on average 2 to 3kgs lighter, improving the boats ease of handling, both on and off the water. The increased hull stiffness greatly improves on-water performance, narrowing the gap between poleythlene and full composite sea kayaks.
The CoreLite X construction in a P&H Sea Kayak is a great option for both novice paddlers, and experience sea paddlers, venturing out in more challenging conditions.
