Lowrance Eagle 9 Fish Finder
The perfect companion for large kayaks and small boats, the Eagle 9 offers a large screen fish finder and chartplotter with easy to use functionality. Choose from two transducer types - the HDI transducer for clear sonar readings below your craft, or the Tripleshot HD transducer for additional side scanning sonar for views either side of your craft too. Designed for those wanting the latest fish finding features in an easy to use device. Fish Reveal technology takes both CHIRP and Downscan Imaging readings and combines these into an easy to interpret view on the screen and autotuning sonar means less time pressing buttons and more time fishing!
The large 9 inch screen is great for displaying sonar modes beside chart modes so that you can navigate and find fish/structure all from one screen. The screen is backlit and offers increased contrast with the choice of different colour palettes for better viewing in a range of conditions. The IPS screen offers excellent viewability from all angles, even when wearing polarised glasses. These are a vast improvement over older LCD displays that would be tricky to view in some scenarios.
The Eagle 9 features a full GPS chartplotter mode. This allows you to plot marks, draw tracks and create routes so that you can navigate to and from your favourite fishing spots more easily. Navigate to and from your launch spot with ease, and clearly see your vessel speed and heading too. Pre-loaded with a basic worldwide basemap, you can add high detail contour charts by plugging in a Navionics+ Chart Card to the micro SD card slot found on the side of the unit. Alternatively, make use of the Genesis Live feature, where you can create custom ½-foot contour maps as you navigate the water - this draws a map of everywhere your vessel has been allowing to build up your own charts from the sonar readings.
Twist-Lock connectors on the rear of the Lowrance Eagle 9 ensure easy installation and removal of transducer and power leads from the unit. The supplied adjustable base mount can be installed to any flat surface that has sufficient space, or choose an aftermarket Railblaza or Ram Mount with further track and rail mounting options available.
Transducer Options
Lowrance 50/200 HDI Transducer
Choose the Lowrance 50/200 Hybrid Dual Imaging (HDI) transducer to get low-high CHIRP sonar and Downscan Imaging. Low-High CHIRP sonar is great for showing any fish in the water column below you with excellent deepwater performance. Downscan Imaging offers high resolution scanning to show the the bottom structure in excellent detail. Together you can find those shoals of fish, or fish-holding structure more easily! This is the most popular transducer option for kayak and boat anglers fishing coastal waters.
Lowrance Tripleshot HD Transducer
Providing CHIRP sonar, Downscan Imaging and Side Scanning Sonar all in one transducer! Side Scan allows you to see either side of your craft, perfect for spotting those bait shoals or fish holding structures around you. Side Scan works best in shallower lakes, estuaries and coastal areas, with diminishing effectiveness as the depth increases. Please Note: Side Scan Transducers must be mounted in contact with the water and below the keel line of your craft so that the sonar can can shoot either side of the hull.
Sonar Modes
CHIRP Sonar
CHIRP sonar provides high resolution views of fish and other objects within the water column. Great for showing shoals of fish and individual larger fish!
